I’m Jen, founder of Home Hideouts, and I truly believe that our home environment shapes our mindset, well-being, and the life we manifest. This brand was born from my own journey—one that completely transformed how I see interiors and their deeper impact.
The Journey to Home Hideouts
For years, I followed a path that seemed “right” rather than one that truly fulfilled me. Approaching 40, living in London with my little dog, Peanut, I felt the weight of societal expectations and realised I had buried away my long-held dream of running my own home décor brand. I convinced myself that life and success had to follow a conventional route, but deep down, I knew something was missing.
Then, during a challenging period, I knew something had to change. So, I redesigned my home—not just for style, but with intention. I cleared out stagnant objects and possessions that no longer served me, decorated with a clean slate, and introduced pieces that truly reflected me—pieces that sparked joy, beauty, and a sense of lightness in my space. As my home transformed, so did my energy, and suddenly, everything started shifting.
Looking back, I know for certain—I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t changed my space. Redesigning my home didn’t just lift my energy—it reconnected me with the version of myself I’d buried under limiting beliefs. It gave me the clarity, boosted my confidence, and reignited my creativity all of which lead me to found Home Hideouts,
