The Florence Knoll sofa, was designed in 1954. It was designed as part of the seating series that included an Armchair, a 3-Seat Sofa and a daybed. Influenced by Mies van der Rohe, Eliel Saarinen and the Bauhaus school, Florence Knoll (nee Schust) aimed to create furniture that could fit in any environment. It was an design aim that she brilliantly realised. As a result the Florence Knoll Sofa, with its simple linear lines and high-quality construction, is an excellent addition to any contemporary lounge or office. This Knoll style sofa is a classic example of Mid Century modern minimalist furniture design.
